Work and Travel USA - how to enroll and how much does it cost

Who can enroll for WATwithUS?


To enroll in WATwithUS you should be:

  • full time bona fide student in Bulgaria;
  • with at least intermediate level of English;
  • under 28 years of age by 1 June 2011.




How much does it cost?


WATwithUS – Best Price Guaranteed. Possibility to pay on installments
We guarantee you the best price for the whole program package - program fee, insurance, SEVIS, job placement, plane ticket, visa, ect.
If you prove us that a student from your university has paid a lower package price at another agency, we will cover the difference and in addition you will get 50% of it as compensation.
The fees, valid till the end of February are:

  • Program fee - self arranged option – 649 USD
  • Program fee – job placement option – 1049 USD


The fees are payable in USD or in BGN on the BNB exchange rate.
If you want to calculate all your expenses you should add the following expenses:

  • Visa interview fee in the amount of  $140;
  • SEVIS fee for the US State Department in the amount  of $35;
  • Airline ticket   - it costs between 235 and 750 EUR depending on whether you fly to New York or Alaska and on when you have made your reservation. You should add 150-400 EUR airport taxes, depending on the air company.


Keep in mind:

  • Domestic transportation in the US to the employer’s site;
  • Personal funds to cover your living expenses for the first days of your stay in the USA.


You can buy also:

  • 5th month insurance in the amount of 50 USD, is you decide to stay in the US for the whole allowed period;



Registration and Enrolment

You can register for the program online or in our office free of charge. After receiving the approval e-mail, you are welcome to come to our office to enroll. The documents you have to provide are as follows:

  • Students Record Book;
  • Students certificate;
  • 1 passport  size photo /and an additional one if you still do not have an ISIC card/;
  • International Passport / the original and a  copy of the pages, containing personal information or visas/;
  • copy of your previous J1 visa if it is not in the current passport;
  • 150 USD deposit which is part of the program fee.
