How to find the most suitable job offer?
We know that most of the students haven’t got any work experience yet, but don’t worry, we can help you find the perfect job for you! You have several options:
» Join the “face to face” meetings with employers, which Usit Colours and our partners from CIEE organize here in Bulgaria! You will get the chance to meet your future employer before your departure to the US, you will have the full information about all of the job offers before the events. There are two types of Job fairs. On the first type the jobs offered are mainly for smaller companies. The interviewers are authorized to hire students for the employers in one particular region. Before the meeting you’ll have information about the regions, the positions, the hourly wages and the accommodation. You’ll have a really good chance to find an offer that fits you best. On the other one big American companies come to Bulgaria to meet with you. Usually these companies need hundreds of employees for the summer – hotel chains, amusement and national parks. Some of the employers who came in previous years are: Yellowstone National Park, Westmark Alaska, The Broadmoor Hotels, PMG, Morey’s Piers, Playday Amusement, Bush Gardens, Gold Dredge, Gold Key etc.
Frist meetings with US Employers are scheduled for December 13th and 15th.
» Usit Colours and CIEE organize virtual interview for you and your future employer. This interviews are conducted online in Usit’s office, and you will have preliminary information about the positions offered.
» You can always try to find a job of your own! SELF ARRANGED (as we call it) is the cheapest way to get a job offer. Your best option is to contact your friends who have been on a Summer Work and Travel program and ask them to contact you with their employer. You can apply for job via internet, but be aware that it’s possible to send hundreds of e-mails and CVs, before getting a replay. For your safety each self arranged employer is checked by our partner CIEE. For more information on how to find a job alone you can get advised by any of our WAT consultants in our offices. Keep in mind, that as a regulated exchange program not all job types are allowed for the WAT participants, and a list of the prohibited jobs you can find in our partners website here
