Barcelona Airport – General Information
The latest renovation of El Prat airport in Barcelona dates from 1992 and is the result of the Olympic Games in the city. There are plans to build another runway because of the highly increased passenger traffic. The airport has three terminals: A for international flights, B for domestic and EU flights (the Wizz Air planes landing there, perform direct flights Sofia - Barcelona) and C for flights to Madrid and other major Spanish cities.

Transportation to the City
By Car
The airport is located 12 km from the center of Barcelona. By car it is reached by road C-31 for about 30 minutes.
By Taxi
The trip with a taxi between the city and the airport will take you around 30 minutes and will cost you around 25 euros.
By Train
The train RENFE connects the airport with the center of the city, from where you can use the subway (from station Sants Estacio or Passeig de Gracia). The ticket for the train costs 2.80 euro. The trip is around 25 minutes.
By Bus
Every 12 min AEROBUS connects Central Station, Plaza de Sants and Plaza de Catalunya with the airport. The one-way ticket costs € 5.30. The journey takes between 40-60 minutes. The buses operate from 6am to 12pm.
