Vienna International Airport
The international Airport Vienna is located 16 km Southeast of Vienna and consists of two terminals - 1 and 2. During 2009 the Skylink extension to Terminal 2 should be completed. Both terminals are located in the same building, so it is not necessary to take a transport. Vienna Airport has a highly developed infrastructure, and the high efficiency in targeting the arriving and departing planes ensures the fast and convenient transfer of passengers. The average time of transfer from one flight to another is only 30 minutes, which is one of the shortest in Europe. "The system of the 4 waves" allows a quick transfer to any destination, no matter from where you arrive.

The distance between the exits for arrival and departure are short, as there are numerous services that facilitate the transfer of passengers and their luggage. During the time of flight service, you can order a porter for your luggage at the halls for arrivals and departures. The price is € 1.50 per item of luggage, but rates may be changes. Carts for an independent portage of the luggage may be taken from 46 posts, scattered in different parts of Vienna Airport. They can be used in return of nine types of coins of 8 different currencies that you can take back after you return the carts. At the largest post located in the “Arrival" hall, there are placed two machine that can give coins against the same amount of banknotes. Smaller shopping carts are available for free in the transfer zone. For a given fee Vienna Airport provides boxes for storing various documents, keys and other items that will not be needed in the plane. Throughout the winter season, passengers are able to leave their winter clothing for storage at the airport in case they take long-term flights south.
If you need a bank - Erste Bank has branches in the arrivals hall. There are also ATM machines and apparatus for currency exchange and two post offices. Wireless Internet access is also available at the both terminals. There are also many restaurants and cafes, where you can relax before or after a flight or simply "kill" time. Shopping lovers can visit around 70 shops at the last minute, including duty-free ones. Of course it is thought about people with disabilities – there are relevant parking lots available, toilets, lifts, telephones, etc., as well as carts and assistance upon arrival.

By Car
The main road to the airport is the A4 highway. You just need to follow the exit with the sign to the airport. Road B9 is the another alternative. It takes approximately 25-30 minutes and from the center of Vienna by car depending on traffic.
The companies that give car for rent can be found at Vienna Airport. They are Arac / Europcar, ATL, Avis, Budget, Hertz, Sixt and others.
By Taxi
From / to the center of Vienna it will cost you about 30 euros. There is a possibility to find out in advance the fixed amount, when ordering through the phone. The time duration is about 25-30 minutes, depending on the traffic.
With Public Transportation
In order to get from the airport to the center of Vienna you can take the so called shuttle bus of Viena Airport Lines, which stops firstly at Suedbahnhof, and then to Westbahnhof. The cost of the ticket is 6 euros and should be bought directly from the driver. From the airport you can travel by tram to the stops Wien Mitte and Wien Nord (Praterstern), where you can make a conncetion with the subway. The cost of the ticket is € 3.40 and the duration time is about 25 minutes. For Wien Mitte you can also take the City Airport Train (CAT), which is faster than the trams (about 16 minutes), but it costs 10 euros. Also, there is a bus connection to / from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
