Manises Valencia Airport

Valencia airport (Manises) is located 9 km West of Valencia. This is the 8th largest airport in Spain in terms of passengers and second in the region after Alicante. In 2008, it transported 5.7 million passengers. From the airport you can make transfers to about 15 European countries. It consists of one terminal and two tracks.

 

 

Services

There are no hotels at the airport, the closest ones, however, are within 5 minutes of it. You can eat or drink at any of the 4 cafes or several restaurants, including Grill & More and Foodlasa Restaurant, who is offering the local cuisine. The stores are six, including a duty-free one. You can find the Aldeasa store, which sells perfumes, cosmetics, clothes and accessories, tobacco and others. At store Atlantica you can buy gifts such as watches or jewelries. There is a Bahia Center store (for children) and Delicatessen (for wine, etc.), as well as a pharmacy. Unfortunately, there are no facilities for storing your luggage. The airport offers two meeting rooms – one with a capacity of 80 people and the second one is smaller. The lounges are two and are next to each other. Also, the airline Iberia has its own lounge. The airport is not completely adapted for the disabled, but there are special lifts, ramps and recreation rooms. The third floor has a chapel. On the first level (departures) you can find ATMs and currency exchange bureau, and the medical center is on the ground level.

 

 

Transportation to the city

By Car

The airport is located near the highway A3, which connects Madrid and Valencia, close also to the A7, from where you can get to Barcelona and France. Valencia is connected with A3 by road N-335.

If you want to rent a car in the hall of arrival (ground level), you can find desks of five companies - Avis, Centauro, Europa Rent-a-Car, Europacar and Hertz.

 

By Taxi

The parking lot of the taxis is in front of the arrivals hall. The cost is 0.73-0.93 euro per kilometer, as there is an additional “airport fee” – 2.75 euro. The cost of the travel to Valencia is around 15 euro.

 

By Subway

Valencia Airport has no train connection, but between the center of Valencia and the airport there is a convenient and frequent connection with the subway (lines 3 and 5). The time duration to the downtown is 15 minutes, and the cost of the ticket is € 1.90. The subway continues to the railway station and from there to the port.

 

By Bus

The bus lines from / to the airport are two. Aero-Bus travels from the airport to the center of Valencia every 20 minutes between 6:00am and 10:00pm. The cost of the ticket is € 2.50, while the time duration is 20 minutes. The MetroBus line also connects the city with the airport, but there are more stops along the way. The price is € 1.05 and the last bus is at 11.15pm. It goes to Valencia for 45 minutes.
